Fresh from a successful run at EurovisionDaði Freyr now releases a new music video for “Somebody Else Now”, taken from their latest EP ‘Welcome’, after fans voted for it. Made together with Árný while in covid isolation, the green-screen video features some delightfully Daðified weirdness.

Future Islands have shared three remixes online, with legendary LA dance producer Egyptian Lover reworking “Thrill”Moss of Aura (Gerrit Welmers’ solo project) taking his own spin on “Plastic Beach”, and German DJ Alle Alle touching up on “The Painter”—all from the Baltimore quartet’s acclaimed 2020 album ‘As Long As You Are’.

Lucy Dacus shares “Brando”‘Home Video’s fourth track in a string of emotive singles—“VBS,” “Hot & Heavy,” and “Thumbs.” Continuing to showcase Dacus’ incredible storytelling and songwriting, “Brando” weaves together Old Hollywood references with frank observations of a temperamental relationship. Her new album ‘Home Video will be out on June 25th.

Dean Blunt, the influential producer and collaborator (A$AP Rocky, Arca, Panda Bear, Vegyn, Mica Levi), returns with his most concise and immediate album to date: ‘BLACK METAL 2’. Melding genres and defying categorization, it’s his definitive work and the perfect entry point into his labyrinthine world. The album is available digitally first and will be released on vinyl and CD on October 22nd.

Brisbane’s The Goon Sax return with “Psychic”, the second single from their third full-length and Matador Records debut, ‘Mirror II’. With touches of ‘80s goth, pop, and post-punk, the song is a slice of strobe-lit noise-pop—kinetic, hook-laden, and touched with genuine dreaminess. The single release also comes with a music video directed by Christine Marie Jones
