KUALA LUMPUR, 14 August 2023 – KGW Group Berhad (“KGW” or the “Group”), a provider of logistics services including ocean freight services, air freight services and freight forwarding services as well as warehousing and distribution of healthcare-related products and devices, has via its wholly-owned subsidiary, KGW Logistics (M) Sdn Bhd joined forces with Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (“UTHM”) to establish the Enterprise Trade Hub. This collaboration is designed to empower students with a hands-on learning experience in the world of logistics and e-commerce.
KGW Group Berhad, through this collaboration, stands as a commercial entity that offers an ecosystem for live training. The facilities provided by KGW at UTHM include specialised rooms such as a warehouse, parcel collection room and more. These spaces allow students to experience the actual workflow and operations of a real-world logistics system.
Beyond theoretical knowledge, this partnership fosters students’ practical understanding on the logistics system. KGW is committed to supporting universities in nurturing students, emphasising hands-on training and live practice. The meticulously crafted learning modules are designed to replicate real-life scenarios, ensuring students are industry-ready upon graduation.

With UTHM based in Johor, KGW emphasises that Johor will spearhead the aforesaid project. The collaboration sets a benchmark for educational institutions and highlights Johor’s commitment to be at the forefront of technological and educational advancements.
For information, the Enterprise Trade Hub will function as a learning centre for import and export trade via online platforms like eBay, Amazon, and Etsy, specifically targeting the USA market. By working closely with the KGW Group, UTHM students will gain an understanding of global supply chain management and e-commerce ecosystems.
The ceremony of this collaboration will be graced with the presence of several esteemed dignitaries. Among the attendees will be Yang Berhormat Dato’ Sri Ibrahim Ahmad, Chairman of the UTHM Board of Directors; Yang Berbahagia Professor Ir. Ts. Dr. Ruzairi Abdul Rahim, Vice-Chancellor UTHM; and other respected members of government agencies, private sectors, and the academic community. Their support and participation underscore the significance of this partnership and the shared vision for a future where education and industry work in harmony.
KGW was listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia on 1 August 2023 with a market capitalisation of RM101.4 million as at 11 August 2023.
