PUTRAJAYA, 21 January 2025 – The Minister of Home Affairs, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, stated that the Asia International Safety & Security Summit and Expo 2025 (AISSE25) focuses on new security threats such as cross-border crime, cybercrime, and human trafficking.

He said that international cooperation through intelligence sharing and joint operations is crucial to address these threats.

“It is impossible for us to resolve these new forms of security threats like cross-border crime, ‘cyber crime’, online fraud, and human trafficking on our own.

“Unless we have cooperation, intelligence, and information. That’s the message we convey,” he said.

He made these remarks during a press conference after delivering a speech at the AISSE25 Summit at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC).

The AISSE25 Summit, which began yesterday and will continue until tomorrow, is expected to position Malaysia as a regional and global hub for security innovation.

Commenting further, Saifuddin said he was satisfied and proud of the organization of the inaugural AISSE25 Summit.

He mentioned that this inaugural event had attracted the participation of 300 companies, of which many are local exhibitors.

“This is the first time we’ve organized this by the police.

“I also consider this a measure of our ‘success story’,” he said.

Saifuddin also aimed for an attendance of between 5,000 to 7,000 visitors at the AISSE25 Summit.
