It is organized through a collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) and the Sarawak State Government.

According to MOTAC, the main goal of this program is to highlight the cultural diversity of Malaysia that can be celebrated with the local community. It simultaneously preserves local cultural arts and showcases the uniqueness, specialty, and diversity of Malaysian arts, culture, and heritage to the public.

“This program also serves as one of the attractions for local and international tourists in the vicinity, which will also contribute to the excitement of the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 campaign.

This inaugural event is one of the initiatives to invigorate tourism, cultural, and economic activities in the state of Sarawak, especially in the Kuching City area, involving many parties, especially tourism industry players and the presence of domestic and international tourists there for the program,” said MOTAC.
