Tropicana is Home to the Largest Ramadhan Buffet offering over 200 Dishes and 23 Live Cooking Stations

Tropicana Foundation teamed up with TGCR and invited 107 children from four orphanage homes to enjoy the buka puasa feast.

PETALING JAYA 13 March 2024 – Tropicana Golf & Country Resort (“TGCR”), a subsidiary of Tropicana Corporation Berhad (“Tropicana”), is home to the largest Ramadhan buffet offering a delicious Santapan 29 Malam, Selera Muhibbah Iftar spread. A true treat for the senses, there are over 200 dishes served nightly and 23 live cooking stations located around the clubhouse making it a delectable, exciting and adventurous buka puasa experience.

In light of the spirit of giving and caring, Tropicana Foundation, the charity arm of Tropicana also partnered up with TGCR and cohosted a charity outreach initiative inviting a group of 107 children from four orphanage homes. Children from Pusat Tahfiz Darus Syabab, Pusat Jagaan Cahaya Kasih, Rumah Sentuhan Budi and Pusat Jagaan Cahaya Kasih Bistari were treated to the delicious buffet spread as well as duit raya and daily essential goods.

Yew Kong Chee, Executive Director of TGCR, shared more on the visit. “We are proud to be the home of the largest Ramadhan buffet in PJ. Our popular buffet is made possible by all the commitments and contributions of our TGCR team. In continuing our mantra of Redefining the Art of Living, Caring & Sharing, we invited 107 children from 4 homes to buka puasa with us. This has been our practice for more than 10 years! We are pleased to continue this charity tradition and we want to spread the joy of our Ramadhan buffet to every layer of society.”

The buka puasa was preceded by a lively presentation of TGCR team members consisting of chefs and assistants, showcasing signature dishes such as Nasi Lemak Pandan Bungkus, Nasi Kerabu with Condiments, Nasi Pulao Yogurt, Mutton Karahi, Daging Rogan Josh, Ayam Bakar Danok, Siakap Kukus Cili Limau, Thai Curry Seafood Otak, Tapai Pulut, Churros and Akok. There are plenty on offer, from local to international cuisine.

The donation and the charitable initiatives are underscored by Tropicana Foundation and Tropicana Golf & Country Resort’s ongoing commitment to engaging with and uplifting underprivileged segments of society along with business partner F&N, their newly inducted sponsor.

Running till 7 April 2024, Santapan 29 Malam – Selera Muhibbah includes highlights such as ghazal performances, an authentic kampung house as the entrance statement, a new central surau and ample free parking bays with buggy shuttle services. The buffet is available for public and private events with tickets ranging from – RM70++ (children) and RM138++ (adults) for members and RM75++ (children) and RM158++ (adults) for non-members.
