PUTRAJAYA, 30 May 2023 – Nanjing Vocational University of Industry Technology (NJUIT) recently embarked on a fruitful visit to Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Malaysia, to discuss potential collaborations aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for students. Led by Professor Xie Yonghua, the President of NJUIT, a delegation of six representatives engaged in fruitful discussions with top management officials from UNITEN, including Prof. Ir. Dr. Noor Azuan, the Vice-Chancellor.
The primary focus of the meeting revolved around the implementation of the 2+2 and 1+1 programmes, which would enable students from NJUIT to study at UNITEN and foster academic growth through international exposure. Both parties expressed a keen interest in working together to establish a robust educational network that would benefit students from both institutions.
Prof. Ir. Dr. Noor Azuan, Vice-Chancellor of UNITEN, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “UNITEN is always open to this kind of collaboration. We look forward to being part of internationalizing the university, making it more competitive in the global arena.”
Professor Xie Yonghua, President of NJUIT, shared his optimism for the future collaboration, stating, “We are excited about materializing this partnership soon. Establishing a network with a prestigious Malaysian university such as UNITEN will bring a positive outlook to both our institutions and the country.”
The visit concluded with a commitment to further discussions and exploration of various avenues for collaboration, including joint research projects, faculty exchanges, and the sharing of best practices. Both NJUIT and UNITEN are eager to nurture a long-term partnership that will contribute to the advancement of education and promote cultural exchange between China and Malaysia.
