KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – Pavilion Bukit Jalil commemorated its first anniversary on 3rd December 2022 with a vibrant celebration filled with music and festivities to mark its first year since opening its doors to shoppers on 3rd December 2021. The event saw Pavilion Bukit Jalil bustling with an outpouring of support from the community as thousands of shoppers flocked to the mall early to grab over 500 goodie bags and to join in the celebrations all day long.
Present to celebrate were Puan Sri Cindy Lim, Executive Director of Malton Berhad; alongside management of the mall, various stakeholders, partners, tenants as well as media friends coming together to celebrate this exciting milestone. The event commenced with performances from a Marching Band, a Meet-and-Greet with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, a cake cutting ceremony and a Japanese Drum Performance to entertain shoppers.
In the spirit of giving during this festive season, Puan Sri Cindy Lim and the management pledged close to RM30,000 to Make-A-Wish Malaysia through Pavilion Bukit Jalil’s CSR collaboration with the foundation. This CSR effort is open to all shoppers where they can pledge and ‘adopt’ a Disney plush toy for RM100, where proceeds will be donated to Make-A-Wish Malaysia. Shoppers can pick up their adopted plushie from Pavilion Bukit Jalil at the end of the campaign.
Fans of Disney’s Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse were treated to a special Meet-and-Greet appearance at the Centre Court where families lined up to take pictures with their childhood. The fun doesn’t end there as shoppers will also get to meet their favourite mascots during the Mascot Parade on 11, 18 and 25 December featuring the beloved mascots of some of the mall’s most notable tenants, including A&W, Jollibee, Toys R Us, Puzzle Planet, Toy World and Fipper, amongst others.
Giving shoppers the opportunity to explore new cultures, Pavilion Bukit Jalil’s all new Tokyo Town welcomes shoppers to explore Japanese art, culture and food. Welcoming shoppers for the season is a specially crafted origami Christmas tree to inspire shoppers to get creative.
Adding to the festivities was also the Miss Pavilion Angels 2022 Pageant Show where shoppers got to witness an exciting line-up including catwalk and talent displays by 21 international contestants leading up to the crowing ceremony where Malaysia’s very own Angela Looi took home the crown as Miss Pavilion Angels 2022, followed by Ashley Shen from China as the first runner up, and Therese from Norway as the second runner up.
Seeking some quality family time? Shoppers with kids can visit Pavilion Arcade, Level 5 (Pink Zone) for a fun-filled time with lots of exciting games and prizes to be won.
