Kuala Lumpur, 29November 2022 – The 5th MonStar Awards Grand Finale was a night to be remembered as youth from across 7 countries came together with inspirational stories to be told. The awards night took place at Panggung Bandaraya, a historical theatre hall located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur last Saturday, November 26, 2022. The event was graced by several prominent Malaysian household names such as Datuk Nicol David, former World No.1 squash player who is also one of the Board of Directors at Monsta Asia, Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir, Tan Sri Jemilah Mahmood, Chef Wan, Tan Sri Jemilah and Natalia Navin among the panel of judges, distinguished guests of the participants and many more.
MonStar Awards 2022 was organised by Monsta Asia and aims to build and discover new and brilliant talents from the next generation in Asia. Since 2018, MonStar Awards has discovered and recognized more than 1,500 amazing young talents from across Asia, whose work, story, or talent(s) influence, innovate and inspire others and their community.

We look forward to seeing more youth making their marks in this world because we believe that their intelligence and work of the youth will take the country on the pathway of success,” said Natalia Navin, Chief Human Resource Officer of Maxis, the Panel Jury & Premium Partner of MonStar Awards 2022.
The highlight of the night was the inaugural live theatrical performance titled “The __ Life of Jane(s)”. A group of young and passionate talents were brought together in making the ide into reality. The story centred on Jane, an idealistic 20-something, who undergoes a major failure in her life that caused her to explore the different dimensions in her journey to make her life more meaningful and purposeful.
Additionally,the awards night continues with the announcement of The Top 10 Young Talents. They were chosen among the 900 nominees from 26 communities and campus partners from 7 countries and handpicked by a panel of judges from various industries; Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir (Malaysian socio-political activist & writer), Natalia Navin (Chief Human Resource Officer of Maxis), Tan Sri Jemilah Mahmood (Humanitarian, Sustainability & Planetary Health Advocate), Chef Wan (Malaysian celebrity chef and entrepreneur), and Hassan Salahuddin (Head of Creator Partnership of Meta Malaysia & Pakistan).
