KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, 15 September 2021 – Subway Malaysia is turning up the heat with the return of its beloved Spicy Buffalo Chicken Sub – but this time, it really packs a punch!
Returning for the first time since 2018, the new and improved Spicy Buffalo Chicken Sub cranks up the spice level.
“The Spicy Buffalo Chicken was well received by Malaysians when it first launched in 2018, but our customers told us that it was not spicy enough for them. Well, we listened, and the Spicy Buffalo Chicken Sub is back, and it’s spicier than ever,” said Samad Mohd Shariff, Country Director, Subway, Southeast Asia.
“After months of research, tastings and recipe tweaking, we are excited to reintroduce the Spicy Buffalo Chicken Sub to meet the growing local demand for spicy subs, and to bring Malaysians a sandwich with a spicier kick,” he added.
SPICY INDULGENCE WITH A FRESHER TWIST
The Spicy Buffalo Chicken Sub takes a classic American favourite – the Buffalo chicken wing – and gives it a local twist. Packed with flavour, Subway Malaysia’s new and improved Spicy Buffalo sauce coats Subway’s signature succulent roasted chicken tenders, creating the perfect balance of tang and spice for an irresistibly indulgent treat.
Subway’s Spicy Buffalo Chicken Sub is totally customisable to suit each customers’ taste, but is best paired with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and cucumber, offering a healthier and fresher alternative to the classic dish.
The new menu item will be available from 15 September to 23 November 2021 across all Subway restaurants nationwide, and on delivery platforms GrabFood and FoodPanda. Prices* for the new Sub are listed below:

- 6-inch combo with 16oz drink: RM12.90
- Footlong: RM20.95
